We are so glad to see young people like Maddy Powney step forward to help so many in need. Maddy’s Kitchen was started up a pantry on her porch to help families in need.
It was fully stocked with canned goods, pasta, hand sanitizer, shampoo, personal hygiene products, diapers, wipes etc. She started this initiative in May of 2020 and had an overwhelming response from the community. On average, they were helping out at least 10 families a week. The porch was available 7 days a week (day or night)
Madison Powney was nominated by Telus Communications in May 2021 to receive $1000 to her charity of choice and she decided to donate it to the Rotary Club of Campbellford as she knows what kind of positive community impact your service group makes.
